The new A300 is said to be a no frills version of the AL391's replacement, the A400. Is it a better gun than a similar no-frills version of an AL-391?

I'm looking for a gun I can use for dove, target shooting, and occasionally ducks. So I'll probably be looking for a 3" version of whichever one I get.

For what you described any of the guns listed above will make you more than happy.

This.

The A300 should weigh less, depending on which model 391 you're looking at. (I like a lighter gun for hunting).

Chokes are different in these two shotguns. Not sure if there's any practical difference (in patterns) between the Mobilchokes and the Optima chokes, although some suggest the Optima supposedly patterns "better." The real issue might be if you already own a set of chokes in one type or the other.
