Beretta A300 Outlander

Has anyone had any troubles shooting their A300 Outlander? I have never had any issues with it for 3 years until I made a dove trip this past weekend. Usually shoot 3in #4 steel for ducks, but was shooting low brass lead 2 3/4 in #8 and gun never loaded without having a probklem. Every single shot I took it jammed. Any solutions?

Is there a spring adjustment on it? Not enough gas in the low brass to work the action. I have a weatherby shotgun that has a ring to put in the spring cylinder for low power shells like that.

Pull the spring out of the choke tube and clean it up and a light coat of rem oil. Clean your plug and what not as well. Had this happen to me last year with my Xtrema 2. Mine had carbon build up, mud, and years of abuse built up in it. Only time I’ve ever had a problem with thousands of shells run through it. Was sticky feeling when trying to load shells into the tube. After firing and ejecting the shell the spring was getting hung up and not shoving a new round down for the receiver to pick up.

I would suggest a deep cleaning for any auto that starts having feeding trouble.
That gun should reliably cycle those shells if it is clean and in good working order.
Need to get down to the piston, cylinder, mag tube, and action to clean them well. Then lightly oil per the manufacturers recommendations.
Lots of videos online.
Hope this helps.

As others have said, It's likely the piston. Also check the gas port in the barrel to make sure there isn't an obstruction.

I’ll add the chamber to this as well. I have a B-80 that’s a beretta 302 clone that struggled with dove loads but not target loads of the same weight/loading. Cleaned the gas system and action but it still wouldn’t cycle. The target loads were smooth but dove loads were a textured plastic and I noticed a little tighter to pull out by hand. Looked down the barrel and saw some crud in the chamber, tiny bit of plastic or dirt maybe. Turns out the cheaper dove loads fit the slightest bit tighter in the chamber, were getting hung up against the crud, extractor would slip, and it would jam. Hit it with a brass brush and then lightly oiled inside, and it fixed the issue completely.
