could be the coldest Classic in history. Who can survive the conditions and win it all?

my pick.... Andy Montgomery..... kind of a local and is flying under the radar. Casey Ashley is everyone's favorite this week but seldom do you see a guy win the big one on their home water. Conditions like this set up well for a local though... so it ought to be interesting.

Not VanDam! Just kidding, I don't follow the tour at all. I'll be rooting for Hackney

I'd love to see Hack follow up AOY with a Classic win but these aren't his kind of conditions at all.

going with Ashley, not sure exactly how hartwell sets up but he does well when there's deep cranking or offshore situations involved.

The BASS tour has fallen off the face of the Earth imo. Used to be able to watch most events on ESPN, and the classic was live. I barely know who fishes anymore

Ashley is the favorite, but the favorites hardly ever actually win. So I'm gonna go with Cliff Pace, that'll be back to back for him!

Those real tournaments are just not that TV friendly. Major League Fishing is way more entertaining as a show IMHO.

You mean back to back in these conditions? Because Howell won it last year.

I started watching MLF after reading about it and i like it alot, just forget to catch it sometimes (see what i did there).
Whenever that dude named Fish who was an analyst got fired, the sport started its decline

No he missed it last year because he fell out of his deer stand and got hurt. So he didn't have a chance to defend his title.

Definitely. But he finished 3rd I think when they had it there in '08, and he seems to be pretty good with a football jig in cold weather.

I'm going with Ashley I've marshaled for him at TB great guy. He's got so many brush piles in every corner of the lake and at every depth he's guaranteed top5. He said he wanted it to be tough and he got it. I'm really looking forward to the live streaming of the top 5 everyday . BASS has utilized great new technology to make it more viewer friendly.
