I thought you were being snarky, but you’re right. What a an odd place for a bass boat to come out of… I thought it would be a southern state..

That speed isn’t bad if you’re in a cigarette boat that’s a deep V hull and heavy. It’s dangerous in a bass boat. Too light and easy to lose control

That depends on the water condition, no one in a bass boat is running offshore, and certainly isn’t running wide open in rough conditions.

However, you’d be surprised how much a bass boat takes rough water.

Fortunately, I haven’t, but I know someone who blew the foot off his outboard hitting something.

I have an Eyra with the 250 four-stroke. In capable hands it will do 81-82mph. With my limited skills I have run her up to 77.8. Work in progress.

To someone with a lot of time behind the wheel, and the right conditions speed is safe. It's trying that chit in the wrong conditions that gets folks in trouble.

And for those that think 94 is fast, a couple months ago there was a huge powerboat poker run for charity here in Lake Hartwell. I was fishing and got to see some of them running their boats that Friday morning. Watched one lay into it hard and was shocked at the speeds he was running. While loading up at the dock I found out from some locals that were in the poker run that his boat was capable of 162 mph. I have seen some fast boats in my days on the water but NOTHING that could cover water like his. Simply unbelievable.

I remember when breaking 100 on the water was fast for those big boats, now private owned boats are hitting close to 200. Technology and hull design has come a long way.

I sure do miss my 15 ft. Terrybass with stick steering and 50 hp Evinrude. A rompin' stompin' arse kickin' ride at 30 mph!

I don’t have a large enough testicle sack to drive a low profile bass boat 94 mph

Why is there no windshield for the passenger? Seems pretty damn dangerous to go 60+mph without a windshield doesn’t it? Hit a bird (hell a duck!) going 85+ and it could damn near kill you probably.

An extra console is easily added. I have a single because I am selfish like that. If my sport doesn't like it, he doesn't have to come.
