does anyone do this? I am a novice sailor and think this would be cool to do in the Virgin Islands (british)

it looks like it is pretty cheap

could be an OBGT

Have a family member on one now. You don't want to go after June 15. Way to may storms after that.

My family member and his SO are with 5 other couples. Has to be a big boat. They are flying back today after a week down there. Don't know as for as renting. If I talk to them, I will get the info for you.

Not much.

Generally they will stay on your boat say 1-2 days to teach.

They then get off boat and it be all to you !!

I know of a couple of them that will do a check ride with you the afternoon you get there and as long as you convince them you aren't stupid and fill out a sailing 'resume', you're in.

But if you have no experience, you really don't want to be in a big boat with nobody there that knows what to do if anything goes wrong. Go learn to sail first.
