So, I first spotted one of them about 4 months ago flying over the Pentagon Barracks. Since then, I see them every week or so. I have only seen them together once (they appeared to be trying to mate). Anyway, I was finally able to snap a few pictures of one of them today.

Are Blad Eagles a rare sighting around here? I see these threads a lot and it got me curious. When I'm home it's not abnormal to see them daily.

I've seen probably 4 in the wild. 3 were on the same day, in cut fields each about 300 yards apart.

So yea, kinda I guess.

Was thinking the same thing. I never knew before how many are around til I started seeing threads and looked up a map.

LA has a shitload. I believe more than Oregon and Washington together.

Edit.....my bad, it's Florida that has a ton.

When we had a lease south of Houma it was nothing to see ~10/day

And I see them land in the trees by me deer hunting all the time

They also steel my damn ducks sometimes

It is becoming a lot more common to see them, but still pretty badass.

I saw one while I was sitting on my deer stand this past year and one that dove down and grabbed a fish right by my boat in Verrett. Also saw one on Perkins Rd, next to Bayou Manchac.

I usually see one every time I go fish Gibson and every so often in the Spillway.

I think my first sighting was about 4 years ago, and now I see them a good bit.

That or a cougar. It's nice to be at the top of your prospective food chain.

I have a pair that nest on my place. They been coming back for about 6 years now. I have a couple pictures of one of them eating on a dead deer in a open field.

I dumb when it comes to posting pictures on this web site. Other places, I don't have a problem.
