Baby Blue Marlin from Pelagic's FB page...

Did you see this image of a baby blue marlin??? While some might think that it's a sailfish due to the exaggerated dorsal, it is, in fact, a baby blue marlin. It seems that in their early stages of development, blue marlin do actually grow a fan-like dorsal, much like that of a sailfish. Check out the illustrated examples posted by our partners at The Billfish Foundation for proof.

I would love that in a saltwater tank but i bet, if it did live, its growth rate would be too much for captivity.

That's awesome.
The closest I came to something like that, was one day I caught two bass that size. They were great in my 70 gallon tank for 2 years.

If they would only stay that size I would have a aquarium full of them.

I'm pretty sure fish grow to fit their invironment when considering tanks.
They grow as big as the environment will allow them.
I may be wrong though.

You are wrong. Think about it.
There are record weights for fish. If they just kept on growing, I'm going for my 47lb largemouth.
