Actually glad you brought up the Remington. Not sure who is going to carry them but my gunsmith, old coonass who would never has never steered me wrong. Told me when I asked him the same question pretty much to get a Baikal, they are Remington design I think but made in Russia. They are not pretty but are built like tanks, very durable and very affordable. He has sold a bunch and of all the guns he sells, this includes the three Bs, he has the lest amount of problems with the Baikals.

Do you have one? If so how has it preformed, thinking of getting one as well. I currently have a 11-87 but it is one made before they were bought out. Which has been about 8 years now. Would not waste your money on anything new or since then, there 870s are even junk now. This is coming from a life long Remington guy.

Pretty sure I do. I have the SPR453. It's Russian made and Remington stamped. I believe it's the same gun just that Remington took its name off for some reason.

ETA: it doesn't cycle between high and low brass great but you can set it to cycle lOw brass.

I've got a Franchi I-12. It has been a very reliable gun.

I received it as a gift but I think it was less than 700.

They have a $100 rebate on them until the end of Nov.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy one with my money,

I have the Franchi I-12 also, but have had some small issues.

My stock has wiggled loose twice, not bad, but to the point I needed to dissassemble and tighten it.

When it gets dirty (I know, my fault for not keeping really clean) it light strikes 1 of approx 100 rounds (which could also be my cheap arse shells).

Not a big deal until you pull up on a drake pintail with a giant sprig
