I'm in Louisiana. I bought an atv & got the decal to put on back of it. I use my atv 95% on private family land. Though I do have to use a public rural road for a few hundred yards to get to some deer stands. I got in my head on trying be as legal as I can be. Where do I put the registration document that the decal came on that list all my private info? Some websites say in a waterproof baggie or something in the atv while others say at home.

None of this has probably ever crossed y'all's mind & I am thinking way too hard but where do y'all keep y'all's registration docs?

You have liability insurance on your side by side? Do you ride on public lands or roads a lot?

ATV registration? I’ve got 3 atvs now and none are registered.

Like the other guy, I highly recommend insurance. Mine is inly like $75/year. I had one stolen 2 years ago and it paid off biggly.

Funny thing is, the 4 wheeler was over 20 years old so it paid even more because it’s considered “classic”

Full coverage. And I rarely, if ever, ride on public lands or roads.

Want to make sure we are talking about the same thing. Property insurance is one thing like if the atv/sxs gets stolen. I understand. I'm saying some people in other states on internet forums say, no one I know in person, have liability insurance like they are trying to atv/sxs in the city streets among traffic. I just can't imagine someone legit having collision insurance for an atv for farm work & hunting like they would a vehicle on the street.

If you have an umbrella policy, you also need a policy on the UTV.
