Bought some for the first time to take to the Caribbean. I read where it isn’t as greasy and smelly so that was a plus. I had never heard of it before.

It is way better IME. Especially for gnats and flies when fishing. I really don't get bothered much by mosquitos, but I am sure it works for that too.

It is expensive, but worth it.

Yes, my buddy used it instead of deet for turkey hunting. I’d say it worked for me because he had the ticks on him and I didn’t.

I use it some but if working in the woods extensively or out in the field, I use Deet. Not worried about the smell or it being greasy.

Deet has never worked for me. Not once. Body chemistry plays a big part in all of it. What has worked is some natural stuff I got at a farmers market that was made with things like citronella and lemon grass. One person can put something on and it repel pests and others can put it on and it acts as attractant. So, just try it and see, is what I am saying. Be your own judge.

I switched to using it a few years ago too. Seems better for marsh gnats when fishing. Deet also degrades plastic and rubber. Have some sunglasses and watchbands that almost seem dry rotted from deet.

I go to the Bahamas to fish quite a bit. Skin so soft with Picaridin is the only thing that works for no seeums.

I am about to make the switch after my body told me about picaridin a couple of weeks back. The regular stuff with deetz hardly ever works for me, and it eats through synthetic material. Doesn't seem like I should be putting that stuff on my skin...

I use coconut oil conditioner in my hair, its a leave in conditioner. I learned a lesson a few years ago, don't use it before going fishing. A buddy and I went to Lake Ohkissa in Bude, MS and was tearing the bass up that day, but I was getting swarmed with gnats in my hair. They would not stay away from me. I had to take my shirt off and wrap it around my head like a turbin.

Amber romance works great for the gnats. I didn’t have any, but I had some frufru smelling sunscreen in my toolbox so I figured I’d try it…

Just like your coconut oil conditioner, they started swarming me after I put that sunscreen on

I use Picardin for the biting flies during the day and it works great. At night I use Deep Woods Off for the skeeters.

We don't have no see um up here so I don't have to worry about those. Ticks are horrible though. This time of the year I spray my clothes with Sawyer permethrin spray. It works really well on ticks and keeps the mosquitos off as well.
