They definitely have a $499.99 option at Academy

I was thinking I saw a Sig for that there too. I think it's a little different. I want to say mine ($650) has ambi safety where the Academy one doesn't. I also think that the one I got at Cabela's has dropped a bit in price since I purchased mine.

I don't want to settle on a LCP if there is no expectation for a CW380 to be found anywhere

I'm curious as to whether you don't like the LCP or really just prefer the Kahr? I'd not be surprised if after you get the 380, you end up later getting a second gun in 9mm or larger. Have you thought of getting one of the smaller, single stack 9mm's for now instead of the 380 (assuming you could find one....)? Good examples of the smaller 9mm's would include:
Kahw CW9/CM9
Sig 938
Kel-Tec PF9
Taurus Slim
S&W Shield
Ruger LC9
Springfield XDs-9 (assuming it makes it to the shelves someday....)

Sorry to hear you can't find a CW380 right now, bro. I would assume the gun-buying panic is still preventing any handguns from staying on shelves.

Really just prefer the Kahr. I also am not a fan on the LCP trigger.

The reason I'm not getting a 9mm is because I wear athletic shorts a lot and 11 ounces vs 17 ounces is a big difference

Went to the LSP office and did everything there about 4-5 weeks ago

Besides just the weight difference, there is a very noticeable size difference.

Also realize that their "unloaded" weight vs. "loaded" weight will be VERY different since 9mm ammo weighs more.

I hit every local store at least once a week. I'm seeing more and more long rifles and handguns. Heck, even BassPro is getting some handguns. The guns are coming back. Now I haven't seen many Kahr's. Seeing some Ruger 10/22's in town a good bit. I have seen 3 10/22 takedowns this week. That was unheard of last month. There are AR's and .223/5.56 ammo everywhere. It's slowly coming back. I just couldn't wait for the CW380

Good points -- although I'd toss the Taurus and the Kel-Tec, if it were me. The rest of those have a track record of reliability.

I'm constantly amazed at the people who willingly settle for .380 mouse guns, instead of buying a a "real" gun and making accommodations to conceal it. Maybe all these guys are midgets.

There is a huge difference in the terminal ballistics of the .380 ACP and the 9mm Luger cartidges. (Tom Givens has posted a few interesting real life examples of the weak performance of the .380). Todays' good 9mm ammo will penetrate deep enough to meet the FBI test protocol, and expand to .83 caliber (.83")

If I can carry a Glock 19 24/7, using an OWB holster, anybody can carry a "full size" pistol with some of today's holsters.

I guess I'll go back to my 12 step program.

Interesting. What do you use to carry the 19?

I'd love to get a CW380 too but haven't seen any around

lafayette shooters tells me they are on order, but i gotta get something in my pocket soon-
hate to settle, but the LCP would probably be plan B-

Have you shot an LCP yet? I really wouldn't advise getting one (I have an LC9) or a Bodyguard. You better make sure you are comfortable with the trigger on these. I'd wait for the Kahr or try the Sig
