i have bough a few, most dont work and the few that due require you add co2 pads in them as bait to attract the bugs
if yoiu are serious about a good one that works stick to the commercial bug zappers for outdoor restaurants and dont even consider anything made for use in your back yard.

That’s bullshite. I had gotten a black flag bug zapper from Home Depot like 5 years ago and it was zapping bugs and geckos with the original pad til it crapped out last year.

I want one like Pow Pow had at the camp 35 years ago

If you do get one don’t put it the area you want to be. Put it away from you, bugs are attracted to the blue light.

Not a zapper, but our dynatrap works good.

Does it kill a lot of mosquitos?

I have a Flowtron BK-80D and it works great. But with any type of bug zapper you will need either CO2 or an Octenol lure to kill mosquitoes. They are not attracted to the light.
