Looking at some online reviews for marine/trolling motor batteries and a few are listed on Amazon. Anyone have any experience with battery purchases from Amazon?

I use mighty-max batteries from Amazon for my trolling motor. They're now over 3 years old.

Just go get a Maxx EverStart at Wal-Mart; good warranty and probably best price.

I'll be following. I have 3 12V 100Ah lithiums in my cart from LiTime. They have good reviews but I've been holding off. $350 each

I use the same as Leastbay. Going on two years now and no issues at all.

I only have to charge the trolling motor battery once every three trips and that's just being safe.

Just curious about the need for 3 100s. I am using two 60s and have yet to run them below 80% in a day of fishing.

Yeah I always have a good bit of juice at the end of the day on my 50AH. They are just dedicated to my tm though and I run my gps off of my cranking battery.

I don't see any need to go higher unless I had multiple GPS/live scope situation and I was running all motors and electronics from same group.

It’s a 36v TM and used heavily. I typically run it down below 50% after a day and a half on my current interstates. They are 1 year old. I’d like to be able to fish 3 days without having to trailer for charging. The dock doesn’t have easy access to outlets

I'm betting you will be able to do that.

With 3 50ah? If so that save me about the price of a battery

My biggest hang up, besides price, is the charger. Doesn't that have to be swapped over from standard battery charger to Lithium compatible charger?

The minnkota charger I have installed now ia approved for LiPo but I read other models are not. Some of the lithium chargers I’ve seen like noco are pretty inexpensive

I think the ones I have are 35ah each. I have 3 for my terrova and I use it all day on my 21 foot frontier. Would probably run into problems if I had the 24v version with such small batteries. At about $70 each I don't care if I have to replace them every few years. Theyve already lasted longer than I expected.

Yes. You need a charger that can adjust the input to a rate compatible with Lithium. I put in a Noco onboard charger for around $100. You could easily get by with a portable charger too. They charge pretty fast.

Oh, I was talking about with the 100s. As to the 50s, I have yet to see anyone buy 3 50s and say they wished they had gone 100s. Here's a recent post on BBC

I put these in and only been out a few times till this past saturday. Fished 1st actual tournament sat full day in some pretty good current most of the day. After all day batteries were at 82% is that normal? If that's the case they will be perfect.

I ordered my boat with the MK PC charger knowing I would eventually buy lithium. It's been perfect for all three of my new batteries.

I see.

I've never really learned about them, but I can tell I'll need new batteries for next year.

If I have a 24 volt trolling motor, do I replace the 2 12 volt lead batteries with 2 12volt lithiums, or do you get a single 24v lithium?

Yeah 50s are plenty for most everybody but OP said he'd be fishing 3 days straight and the dock doesn't have good access to an outlet. In that case I could see the reason for stepping up in AH. 75AH might be the sweet spot if there's price savings. If not then might as well go 100AH if you aren't limited by space and weight.

You could do either two 12v or one 24v. The benefit of the two 12v is that if one has an issue you can switch the single battery out for 1/2 price of exchanging a single 24v.
