anyone own a cheaper 1911?

I would save $200 more and get the Ruger SR1911.
BUT the metro arms is decent and can be had for around $500 iirc

If you want to spend around $500 go with a metro arms American classic.
DO NOT spend less than $550 on a 1911. You will end up putting atleast $100 into it if you do.
