I did a long time ago. A lot of history with the deer out there. Something like two decades ago two guys trespassed onto BASF land to hunt some deer. One of the guys accidentally shot and killed his buddy. Then he turned around and sued BASF for having an "attractive nuisance". Corporate BASF wanted to settle out of court, the plant manager decided it was bullshite and fought it in court and won. Legal fees cost more than settling.

Shortly after that BASF tried to do a roundup of their deer to reduce the numbers. It was not a success.

I'm there everyday. Deer are legit. Several I've seen are absolute monsters. There is a zero tolerance policy with the deer. Take a picture? You gone. Look at them too long, they search you.

Supposedly one of their own plant operators was fired earlier this year for picking up shed antlers out of the road.

Security pulled a dude off a bus a few weeks back for videoing with his phone as they passed a small herd by the contractor gate. Seriously.

That's probably just for videoing near the plant in general.

I've always said bow hunts out there would be great for potential clients.

What is BASF? I know of the chemical place but this is obviously something else.

It is the plant. There's a good bit of surrounding property owned by them.

Bow hunt? Don't need a bow out there. Those deer are practically tame. And you will never have me believe that the big bosses at BASF don't hunt those sad daddies.

Not with Turner...but also not saying who or where I work in there. Don't want to give any more clues as to my true identity....
