Been looking for an M70 wood stock in 308 for a pretty long time. These things never hit websites or shelves. Cant find an email address on their site to see if it's possible to order one. Thanks

I think at Bowie we let you when I was there last year. I always advised against it though because Winchester and Browning were 18 months out for some models. Which exact model are you looking for? I might be able to see what I can do for you. Give me a Part number.

18 months is kind of insane. Might look at alternatives.

What's your budget? Oh, wait. Just looked. That's a super grade. Give me a few. I'll find out and see if we have one. If not, for that price, get a Sako 85. Better gun imo.

Never made one but I don't want to pay $2k on GunBroker for a $1300 rifle. Maybe $1000-$1500

So yeah, we don't have one. Would be hard to get as well. If you can swing it, get a Sako 85. If you spend $2k on a Sako you are getting every bit of your money out of it. You can find some models closer to $1500 or $1600 but most are closer to $2k (especially if you want wood). The new CZ600 is a cool more budget minded option too (the lux is what you would want). CZ has always punched way above its weight class. They new models seem very nice. I have a CZ550 and the wood is way nicer than it has any right to be and they gun is superbly accurate and amazing quality.

Look they are not REALLY 18 months backed up. Big orders placed at vendor shows will show up within the calendar year that they are ordered. If you go in and order 100 FN 5.7's, no, you are not getting them, You might get a half dozen from that order throughout the year. If you go and order a package of hunting rifles from Winchester they are coming in within the calendar year. You just have to find the dealer that happened to order that gun you want. Now normal allocation, yeah, they might tell you a year or 18 months but there is no telling as that is a very unreliable way to order guns. It is good for changing things up and grabbing the hard allocations your reps get but getting those year long orders in at the shows is how you make your money. I personally never went in and said let me stock my store with hunting rifles throughout the year... practical/tactical guys buy way more guns.

That's a nice looking rifle. Haven't looked into them much. Leaving for a hog hunting trip tomorrow. I'll start looking next week.

Do not buy a christensen. Abysmal customer service. We used to send them back all the time. We had a gun that wouldnt even chamber a round (headspace was off). They lied saying it was user error but in the repair notes put that they fixed headspacing. They sent us a bunch of rangers that flopped in the stock because they bottomed out on the action screws without making full contact. The guns were literally flopping side to side in their stocks. They are horrible. DO NOT BUY A CHRISTENSEN

Custom rifle name, remington rifle qc
It is true with most products that going from low volume to high volume very quickly yields QC issues.

Reed's outdoors has preorder available. Not sure what the wait time is. I made a purchase not to long ago. They did not charge tax. Very easy to deal with.
