Yeah,I can't imagine sitting and waiting,and I have had a compound fracture,where my left foot was flopping around,and a sharp piece of bone sticking out above the ankle like a spear.
I hopped like 1 leg frog,probably 1/2 mile,to a pay phone.
I was drunk though,so I had an advantage.

My first aid kit when I worked at philmont was a handful of ibuprofen, a small roll of duct tape, and a couple lortab.
