Yes. I have a 24 6.2 Silverado 4x4 with the 10 speed. At around 20K miles (I'm at ~26K now), I noticed a vibration at certain speeds that disappear if I accelerate. But if I hold that same speed, the vibration is there. It's still under warranty and I don't have the time right now mess with it or to be driving a loaner especially during the holidays and hunting season.

My 2016 5.3 Sierra did the same at around 20k miles, fixed under extended warranty. If you’re lucky like I was, turned out to be a left motor mount failure. They start diagnosing with a 3 axis accelerometer placed just behind the driver’s seat to determine the area and direction of vibration source. Very cool tool.

My 2016 has just 31k miles as my brother insists on driving his 2021 Titan (no issues yet) when we go fishing or hunting. I’ve been aware of the GMC transmission and displacement on demand issues but don’t see another truck I think is worth buying at the outrageous prices today. Look closely and the wife’s 2022 Tahoe build quality is junk. With the new Tundra issues, not even Toyota is worth buying.

The only upside I have is my eight year old low mileage truck is worth just $5k less that what I paid. My independent mechanic who I trust says keep it. So, conflicting thoughts and guess I’ll try one of the OBD port plug in dongles that disables displacement on demand. Otherwise it’s a great truck, tows great and fully loaded SLT.

No issues really. I work for a Nissan dealer and have yet to see one come in for a serious issue. Only one i’ve seen was fixed with a software update. Nissan doesn’t mess around about fixing problems quick unlike GM. I hate they are no longer making the Titan. Main issue i see is starters going out at around 100k and fan clutches going out early but with the 5 year 100k warranty i wouldn’t be concerned. I worked at a GMC dealer and in one week I saw two 2024 Sierras with less than 50 miles on them have the transmissions grenade. I’ve owned 4 Silverados and I never thought I would say it but I would buy a Titan before a Silverado. This isn’t the Nissan of 2012. We have only replaced one transmission in a car that was newer and it was a 2019 Altima with 250k miles and she never had it serviced.

Of course. If it was just a manufacturing process issue, then that issue can be pinpointed and fixed. And you can avoid buying a truck made in that factory during that time.

Something like the GM transmission, it seems like GM can’t or won’t fix it.

Tundra

I’ll be in the market for a new pickup soon. This would be a no-brainer except the current exterior design is so ugly.

shite, they need to recall every V8 motor since they started the AFM bs. And the shitty 6 and 8 speeds that by design ran way to hot and had junk torque converters.
