I’m looking at buying a Primary Arms rifle scope, the 1-6x24 SFP Gen III with the ACSS Aurora reticle for 5.56.

Seems to get very good reviews and at $290 I’m not breaking the bank.

Anyone own one and recommend it.

Not sure of the quality of their optics, but their customer service is top notch. I had an issue with an order (they sent me a used handguard), sent an email to their customer service, and a few hours later their CEO called me to apologize and rectify the situation. He called me a few days later to make sure I was still okay with their solution. So at the very least, Primary Arms gives a shite about their customers

I have the Cyclops 1x20 Prism on my Aero Precision 5.56 and have been pleased with it. Hard to beat it for the price.

Have a Primary Arms SLx 1-6x24mm FFP Rifle Scope - Illuminated ACSS-RAPTOR-300BO/7.62x39. No complaints. As stated customer service is great and shipping is fast.

I am actually in the market for a 1-4 or 1-6 for my new 300 Blackout 10.5 pistol and have been leaning towards a Tru-Glo on Amazon that comes with the mount for 190.00 or so. It seems to have a ton of good reviews. Anyone have any experience with it or have heard anything about them in this scope class?

I have the GLx 4-16x50 with the .308 dmr reticle. The price is unbeatable for the quality glass you get. And the reticle is so well laid out. Between Marshall (ceo) and Dimitri (reticle designer) you can't go wrong. They will walk you thru what you might want for your specific needs.

I have a 2.5 Primary Arms on one of my guns. It's a good optic. Durable and the ACSS reticle is top notch.

I have like 6, and the only one I don't recommend is the 3-18x .308 one. The reticle was made for the 4-14x and it actually lets ya zoom in too far, looks odd. Plus the glass just isn't good enough to handle 18x.

In any case, they're all great except that one.

Their only competition in the price range is the low end Leupolds, and even then only if you're into saving weight instead of the user friendly reticles.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve seen a couple of reviews that had it as the best AR scope under $300 so I pulled the trigger on one this evening. Had a hard time finding one online, but I did manage to find one. Even Primary Arms is sold out, as is almost every website I looked at.

I had a family member that worked for PA for a couple years and moved on to another major firearms company.

The glass for the PA optics are made in the same exact factory in Japan that the high end stuff is like Nightforce is made in. It’s good stuff.

I only have one of their red dots, but I have yet to see a bad review for anything from PA.

For the same price, they seem to be much better than the equivalent Vortex pieces and everyone loves the ACSS reticle.

The glass for their high end stuff is. PA is similar to other companies and they have price ranges. Typically cheapest = China, mid-range = Taiwan or the Philippines, high end = Japan. You’re not getting a $150 scope from anybody with components from LOW in Japan.
