HME Solar/Battery

I've looked at the reviews but can't get a good read on if this will fit my Spypoint Link-Micro-LTE. Anyone had any experience matching these two products up? May be a long shot, but figured I'd ask, tired of spending my retirement savings on batteries.

I have the 2 in the links below. Both work well. I like the 2nd one better because it comes with multiple cables to fit different cameras and/or feeders, better mounting hardware, and you can charge it from a wall outlet. The other one you have to put out in the sun to charge. The cables aren't as heavy duty, but it's been out for 2 years and nothing has chewed through them.

I bought that exact battery to go on one of my cameras at my farm just a couple of weeks ago. I got it put on the camera this past Sat.

I may be wrong, but I think the connection is the same on all cameras if they take a 12v external power source.

In 5 days the battery has been great, but that isn't much to go on yet.

Check out herd360.com

We have switched all our cameras over to external battery boxes. $15 for a cable, $5 for a plastic ammo can, $25 for a 7ah battery, I haven’t bought AAs in a year. Keep a few spares charged at the camp, get two months on a single charge. He makes solar setups as well, but I haven’t found it necessary. Chinese lifepo4 batteries on Amazon work great and will be on sale for Black Friday, but the normal cheap feeder batteries work fine too, just need to know if your cams are 6V or 12V.

There are a few but the common brands use two main sizes, be nice if they would standardize.

I have two HME solar/battery packs. They work good as long as they get 2 or 3 hours of sunlight everyday. Most cameras are standard 12v input. I have a Moultrie, Covert and Stealth cell cams and they are all 12v input.

That explains my confusion. I tried out the HME on a Browning and using it on a Stealthcam

Browning works great, and easily change the batteries in it every couple of years when they start slow charging the cam.

And that HME sucks, takes as many batteries as changing in the cell cam.
