I went through the online build and price page and sent the link to 3 dealers I've dealt with before. I'll be going 7.3 on this one.

I know ford is currently doing 2500 back to dealers, By ordering I'm at the mercy of what incentives are in place in 4-6 weeks.

I found a Lariat ultimate in Dallas that the dealer ran X plan for me. That program doesn't have the same punch it used to. Pick it up next Tuesday.

This is not true or has changed. I ordered in 2022 and had a choice of the incentives at time of order OR at time of delivery.

Try David Bagby at Tommie Vaughn in Houston. He has always beat any deal I could find, and I shop multiple states when buying.

Not to derail but you going gasser over power stroke? Been looking at used ones of both, both seem to have pros and cons and a following of sorts.

7.3 gasser is great. My Buddy has one. Pulls his offshore boat like a boss.

I'll be in the market when my 6.2L f250 gas gives it up.

I’m retiring an 07 megacab 2500 6.7 with 267k. It’s been an excellent tow platform. As per the saying, the rest of the truck has fallen apart around the motor.

I don’t care for the mandated diesel bs. The 07 was deleted around 140k when the dpf clogged. I’ve chatted with several guys toy hauling to the mountains with a similar weight that I have been And they say the 7.3 does just fine. You just have to get adjusted to the RPMs it runs and up and down shifting.

Did Ford fix the camshaft or lifter issues I know it was somewhat of a problem on the earlier model 7.3 it should be a thing of the past now

We just did and it's paying off first week. Went from f350 SRW long bed 6.7L to newer model with the 7.3L. Same MPG if not slightly better, at a dollar a gallon cheaper. Not to mention, oil changes monthly will pay off big time in savings.

Thanks for all the feedback fellas. I pull my boat and double axle fine with wood and smaller things, and I dont tow or haul a ton else but when I do use my buddy's tractors (which is increasingly often, yes I know buy my own- currently working on that too) my 150 definitely struggles, and the brakes are just not meant for that kind of weight.

Basically, love diesels but don't know the motors well enough to fix any constant problems and as mentioned with the emissions stuff it hardly seems worth it if it's not a business truck.

Thanks yall.

I'm still running my old 6.0 diesel. That said, I will be replacing it with the 7.3 gas within 24months. People scoff at it, but it makes 500 ft lb of torque. Ironically, or intentionally, this is the same torque number as the venerated 7.3 diesel.
