Hit and miss, at least 75 boats out there every day of the week

Decent this past weekend. Did better further South though. I was kinda shocked we didn’t hammer them though, tide was right, light wind, and not too terribly crowded.

I have never had much luck when I fished Isle au Pitre. Had some great trips around Door Point and Brush Island.

It was a steady bite last weekend. A ton of boats were out there and people aren't afraid to squeeze in between boats. We killed them a little south in the Biloxi Marsh.

Brush Island

May legitimately be gone after the storm this upcoming weekend.

Pulled up Friday morning at around 6:30 am and there were at least a dozen boats already in the area. We caught 1 trout before heading to Chandeleur. Stopped again in the afternoon on the way back. 3 boats at that point and some guys wade fishing. Picked up 1 more trout.

How was the crowd and bite there? Contemplating just maybe going the extra 20 miles and just heading there.

Crowd was strong. At least 10-12 mother ships with 3-5 skiffs each plus some other bay boats around. I would say there were 35-40 boats around the New Harbor island area fishing the grass flats. We caught around 15 trout and kept 10. We did some scouting around since we had never been there. If we had just drifted the grass flats all day, I think we could have caught 25-30 trout.
