This sums it up brilliantly!!!!!!! People who have never touched a gun jump to these irrational and emotional conclusions.

Granted, we're talking about little kids and it's hard not to be emotional, but anyone who thinks a ban would have prevented this is delusional.

You have a very good point there. Social media has really changed the way people react to things. It would be so much better if people actually thought and listened before jumping to conclusions.

I am stressing big time. My father, who passed a bit over a year ago, was an NRA member and had a concealed carry permit

We enjoyed gun shows and collecting. He would be beside himself.

I feel assaulted and violated. I am worried about the future of this country. You listen to some of the commentary and it's just down right scary how so many have given up on personal responsibility, freedom from government dependence seems like the good ole days just 4 years ago.

I hope I am wrong but our desent as a Free country seems to be a free fall.

Nailed it.

Firearms ownership hits both of these right on the head. I hope more people start to see that.

If there would be a "ban", would that be for buying...or owning? Or maybe both? Reason I ask is what good does it do to buy an AR now if it could be against the law in a month.

God, I hope it doesn't take a month. I am so ready for it to get back to normal again.

I'm not looking at that angle; rather, from the perspective that I would worry about having something illegal in my possession. Would take away the fun of having one/being able to shoot it. Putting it in a truck to go shoot would be risky.

What's even worse is people like Feinstein who has a CCW for California, which is damn near impossible to get, going after guns. WTF?!

Me too.
I've enjoyed our guests, but it's time for them to leave.

Hopefully things will return to normal after the holidays.
