It just feels like I can get to my piece quicker with a cross draw.

Do what feels best for you. I know that you want a yes, or a no here, but get one and practice with it.

I’m also the same guy that still walks around without one in the pipe. I just don’t feel like blowing my nuts off. But that’s just my advice. And it’s worth what you just paid for it which is nothing.

Well, with a cross draw one is unlikely to blow their nuts off. At least I think not.

But that is just my opinion, which is worth what you paid for it.

I had a frozen shoulder years ago that never got totally back to normal, so drawing from my hip is difficult. Cross draw is much easier for me.

Only when I'm hog hunting and carrying a hand cannon.

My son likes it. Josey Wales style.

For conceal carry, I use an appendix holster. Not truly a full cross draw, but it's pushing into that territory. 10x's easier for me to draw (and conceal) when clothing is involved. I have a standard hip holster for open carry or eventually competition type shooting. I'm good with it if I've got the the right drop and offset. But high on the hip is way more uncomfortable to draw.

I prefer cross draw. They can be difficult to find but there are a few good leather options.

I bought an Azula leather cross draw holster off Ebay. It is made very well, imo.

DeSantis also makes good cross draws.

If you were about to get in a car wreck, would you have time to put on your seatbelt before the collision? You wont have time to rack your slide if you need it.
