Anyone else have the opinion that it is poorly done? Over "dramaticized"?

Some of the footage I question, also. At one point in the show last night, one of the "helper" guys in the boat (I forget which character) was supposedly taking aim at one of the alligators and they showed a close up of the guy's face with the gun up against it. I could swear it was a shotgun he was holding. Also, I just noticed that "Troy" and his partner had on the same exact clothes from one day to the next.

Since when did it become a competition between hunters? I hunted them for a few years back in the 80's and the only thing I would consider even closely resembling competition was claiming the better spots for your lines.

Any of you have opinions on the show?

Even this is only a problem if you are hunting the basin and not leased or private land but hey I guess they gotta make it dramatic for TV somehow. The way they edit the kill shots makes all of them seem very reckless with a gun. I don't know about you but I never shot at a gator while it was rolling or moving. Always waited till I could get that barrel a few inches from the kill spot.

This show should be better than ice road truckers or axe men IMO. I loved the look of that coon asses face when the Italian guy told him how much a jacket or wallet sells for He is busting his arse out there for <$5/foot

THis, I think they are trying to make it much more dramatic than what it is for tv. I know they metioned both of the hunter groups have over 150 tags a piece. If you catch that many gators a year, for a few years, they would get pretty damn good at it.

Without a doubt. I think they are acting a little crazy for the cameras. I am just glad we hunted the marsh and not in those cypress knees those look like a pain in the arse.

Yeah it's over dramatic but that's tv. I wish they'd show Lake Boeuff opening day of duck season. No added drama needed

Bruce that owns the gator farm and was fishing ponchatoula area is damn near there minus the nipple rings Denim coverall jorts... I have seen it all. Hunting by himself is pretty stupid IMO.

I think that may be something for the show only also.

I wonder how much these guys got paid to put on this show.

I agree, those cypress knees or (gusteos? ) look nasty and can see how it could pop some alligator lines.

At my old seafood market, I bought live crawfish from people out of st.martinville, new iberia, and morgan city. They sounded much like him.

I also questioned weather or not anyone who knows anything about alligator hunting would be dumb enough to use a hook as small as the one they showed that was straightened out.

He showed an 11/O hook at one point. That is a pretty damn big hook. I used to use 10/O I think.

That's pretty normal size. It's hard for them to break cause it's supposed to hook in the stomach. They break it when they're hooked in the mouth
