Really don't think it will get any higher than flood stage, maybe a few more feet but not much. Not much more than a normal spring flood.

Love it being high, just hope it falls slow.

Late season floods always bring the added issue of strain on a levee if a tropical system comes in and drops a bunch of rain along with it.

From what I've seen the 28 day usually predicts a fall after 7 days regardless of what really is gonna happen

10 feet up north....what does that translate to down here? 2 feet or less?

Nah. It's usually doesn't translate into too big of a difference. I'll have a full report tomorrow, though. My grandfather eats this shite up. He asks me at least three times a week to look up the river forecast on my internet machine.

Here's a link for those if you that may want to look up river. These are all of the gauges on the Missouri River.

Some of you may have fun playing around with it. The cities at the bottom of the list are closest to where it hits the MS. River

And still falling...

Should be under 30 for sure and probab around 27-28 before we get this next pulse. It will probably take us a few feet over flood stage in BR.

It is breaking levees up north as of this morning.

All this water is screwing up my spring fishing on Old River.

Thats what im thinking. Wont be a significant flood but enough to keep the water up for another month or longer

Could run trotlines or jugs for catfish, but I'm just not into that now. Hell, I know I could catch a few hundred pounds a day easy.

I have 5 days of vacation to take in July but dont want to schedule them until I know what the river is going to do. Had the same issue last year and took a week and couldnt find biting fish anywhere

Does this necessarily mean an extension on the crawfish season?

Monitoring the river and trying to predict it is like trying to nail down jello. I'm leaning towards maybe 4 feet plus or minus a few real quick then a steady fall

Latest forecast says a crest of 50 feet at red river landing on the 19th. Of course it will probably be revised before then but doesn't seem to be a big of an event down here as they are having up north

It's dropped some here. Places that were under water are now just mud and grass.
