Anybody have a gun rack in their tractor?

Needing a better way to carry a rifle with me on the tractor instead of my current practice of laying the rifle on the floor. Needs to be secure so that if I hit a big bump the rifle won’t come loose and bash against the window. Does anybody know of something that might go in this corner of the cab and mount to the bar going across?

Not so subtle "I have a bigger better tractor than you" thread

Something like that. But I would prefer to mount to the bar instead of bolting to the floor.

That’s a good idea, I’ll try that.

Haha thanks for the suggestions. I’m plowing a half section and the auto steer is doing all the work anyways.

Versatile Tractors don’t come standard with gun racks?

I guess only the John Deere fancybois get those kind of useful factory options.

Where can I find these magnet mounts?

Look up COJO gun mounts. I’ve got one in my combine that does a really good job. Not sure where they’re made but I I believe some Nela guys created them. I got mine at Simmons.

Amazon. Type in gun mount magnets.
The good ones, one will support 40lbs or more.

Put it in a tube sock so it doesn't get scratched or scratch your window and mount it via magnet like suggested

I'd be so drunk after the first 160 it would have to have auto-everything by the next 160. I'd have the route programmed all the way back to the barn.

I still have to turn the tractor around every 15 minutes or so when I get to the end of the row. Plus it’s not as easy to post on TD and watch videos on your phone when you have an AR-15 in your hands.
