Heading out of Venice Saturday, prolly gonna give the Lump a try. Any recent reports from y'all?

For the lump, anchor off the southwest corner, and not too shallow. Try to get in the 250-300ft range.

Roger that, we have had much success in years past there, both chum lining Tuna and trolling for Wahoo. If its not too crowded we may do the drift thing in lieu of anchoring. Thanks........

Water was crap there Sunday. Only managed BF/bonita, very, vert few YF caught there last weekend. Of course that changes overnight, but it was pretty dead last weekend.

Floaters south of there. Medusa, Innovator, Mars, Noble Driller, Who Dat, Ursa, Jim Day all have lots of small YF. And by small I mean small, like barely legal 10-20#. Shrimp boats had fish too, just north of lump near 133,143

Wind died down Tuesday and the guys that fished wore the tuna out. Wahoo are the smaller snake size. No real big ones. Mostly 30-60 lbers. Wednesday SE wind kicked up and the few boats I talked to before we left said they didn't do as good as they had been.

BigHoss can tell you more but it sounds like the lump is just about fished clean. We caught 5 YFT at pisces last saturday
