I'm burned out myself. Been a tough season and I don't know how much energy I've got left. I get my hopes up every time and nothing cooperates. Skunked today for the 5th time this year duck hunting.

I'll skip days I know are gonna be shite like this am. 50 degrees heavy rain, 24mph wind and NO DUCKS. My friends stayed. They still in the blind. Have 4 between 5 of them. F$%k that. Going deer hunting this pm. Temp is dropping fast. They should slay the ducks tomorrow, but I gotta work.

I've just gotta go whenever I get an invite so I can't be picky. On 3 separate occasions this season, I've heard the property/lease owner say "this is the worst day I've had all season" I had extremely high hopes this morning and fired 1 shot. Still had a great time and appreciate the invite, but damn what do I have to do to shoot some fricking birds!

I haven't even started yet, too busy with work.

I guess hogs and squirrels will have to do before spring gets here.

I am like everybody else, burned out on shitty conditions and no birds. When season ends I always think, "Glad it's over," then about March I am ready to do it again. May try to find some hogs this year, around soccer.

My worst hunt on our lease has been twelve. Got skunked on the one public land hunt I went on. Didn't fire a shot.

Im headed north to Stuttgart area Thursday night, first hunt will be Friday ending Sunday morning.

Probably going to be my grand finale.

This season has been really frustrating for ducks with me. I have come to the conclusion that I am taking one guided hunt a year somewhere up north and then hunt the refugee's the rest of the time.

I did kill a big buck this year, which basically hooked me on deer hunting big time.

My buddies hunting north of us, Stuggart and up, are slamming them. Hopefully you have a good hunt. Let me know. If we're killing them and y'all aren't you might can hook up with us.

I've considered doing about a week or two in Saskatchewan early, pounding their asses and then maybe just a paid hunt or two here and their or with friends. I pay about $10k/year for all my leases and the return on good hunts is pretty damn poor overall. And you can kill more per day in Canada. I think it used to be twelve but not sure. Then there's always Mexico.
