Or bass fishing in general? I enjoy hearing top water stories, gets me pumped for weekend. Just moved back home from a long stint in Indiana and finally getting a chance to go Saturday morning, bright and early.

I went last weekend and threw a KVD splash (Bone color) almost exclusively. I was keeping count and stopped counting around 20. They were smoking that thing. I'm in Arkansas so don't know how much difference this makes but they were on last Saturday.

You can't beat a day on the water like that. I have been fortunate enough to have a handful in the past and I think of those days often.

Caught a bunch on a popper a couple weeks ago on Sabine River, including this one that I didn’t even hook. The popper just jammed perfectly in its mouth.

Went today. Got my limit. Tried topwater, but they didn’t want any of it. They wanted senkos and finesse worms.

A frog is by far my favorite way to catch bass. Unfortunately I haven’t had much luck on it this year. Chug bug has also been fairly unproductive.

What area you fishing?

Whopper plopper has done great for me this year, spook as well.

I had two days on the Sabine back in June where I caught 70-80 on a whopper plopper. It was a blast.

Went saturday. I caught one on a weightless fluke, one on a suspending jerkbait, and one on a soft craw tokyo rigged. Other guy caught a couple on a jerkbait. Mixed bag of Smallies, largemouth, and spotted bass. was kind of a slow day for us.

Jerkbait was the go to the last couple of months on points and ledges, but seems as if something may be changing. Need a couple of cool days to get them to start schoolin. I fish pickwick and baysprings lake in NE MS.

I'm going again at the end of the month. I'll start with topwater most likely a whopper plopper or a jitterbug. If i can find some bait i'll likely throw a fluke or a jerkbait. if that doesn't work i'll pull out the senko or something that resembles a crawdad.
