not trying to be a dick. But dont waste your $2500. No thermal scope in that range will be worth the money. Throw another $1500 and get a good entry level FLIR

Respectfully disagree. I would look through a pulsar apex xq38. Its more than enough.

That’s not entirely true. The FLIR thermosight PRO 223 is well worth the 2k price tag. If you haven’t had the chance to see one in person it’s very impressive for the price.

I rented a few before finally deciding on the Pulsar trail XP50. It has a 1.6 magnification. It makes scanning easier with the larger field of view. Also has a PIP feature that makes longer shots easier. The FLIR was okay but the resolution was not as high as the trail series. I tried the XQ I think is the model and it was not a bad scope and is close to your price range. The only thing I wish my XP 50 had was more color options but I hear most people just use white and black hot anyway.

In first with ATN 4K Ultra. But seriously Pulsar XP50 mentioned above and the 38 are both great options in your range. The FLIR products are great but only at a very high end. The lower end FLIR products are not clear have ghosting issues and the one I shot was grainy after each shot for a second or two. I enjoy my ATN products as well but you have a group of folks out there that just don't care for them because the take the lions share of the market with an affordable option and great marketing.

Do you have the ATN Thor 4?

I been saving for a thermal (thinking 5k range but can go up or now if it’s warranted)..want to get a 640 and something to shoot 100-200 yards. Some may be shorter...some could be longer. Avg would be 100-125 I guess.

I think there are some new models that will drop at shot shot end of this month. Pulsar has one like ATN that looks like a standard scope...but more so than ATN. More color options. Looks slick to be honest. But I like some things my ATN xsight and now 4K pro do. I’m better the new pulsar will too.
