I have a 1.5-acre pond, stocked with bream and bass, chinqaupins, but also fathead minnows. I only live about 20 minutes from it, but the bass wear the bream out, and every few years, I restock the bream. Trying to start feeding the fish but just don't have time to go out there more than 1-2 times a week, and some weeks none.

I tried Google, but for fish, it just showed extremely expensive feeders or deer feeders that throw food straight to the ground. Are there options under $200 that i can hang on a tree or put on the ground, say a few feet away from the pond, and will shoot out food directly into the pond instead of straight to the ground? TIA

eta: There is plenty of cover for fish to hide in the pond, but still, about every 4-5 years, bream start getting small numbers. Just want to spend this year trying to fatten them up. I plan on keeping a lot of bass this year and throwing the bream back.

I have a moultrie directional that works good. It doesn’t throw the food out as far as the expensive ones do. Mine is on tripod legs sitting into the pond about a couple of feet so that all the food makes into the water.

The moultrie directional is what I use in my small pond. Throws the aquamax mvp very well. Just make sure to keep a good battery in it.

ETA: Highly recommend Aquamax feed

Does this food attract turtles?

I do not know if it attracts them, but they like it a lot

How many bass are you taking out of the pond in a year?

Could it be overpopulated?

I have a bag of AquaMax and also a bag of some soso stuff I can't remember what it's called. The bag of AM I have, the pebbles are too big for really small bream or minnows. The other stuff is smaller pebbles.

Last year I definitely didn't take enough out. So far in the last month, I've taken out about 15, between a little less than a pound to the biggest being about 3lbs. I plan on taking another 30-40 bass out over the summer.

I have 2 Texas Hunters that I bought in 2015 and they’re still kicking, running 4 times a day. I’ve had to do minimal maintenance on them but 1 motor went out in one which is a very inexpensive and easy fix.

There's different varieties of it. I fed the Aquamax 400 (starter) when I first stocked. It's very small and sinks. The MVP has 9 different particle sizes, and some float while some sink. I found it to be good for a variety of size fish.

X2 on the Texas Hunter. We tried all of the cheaper ones including the directional moultrie. Texas Hunter is the way. Be prepared to have to seal the feed level window and get a gasket for the top though.

Keeping the fish food dry is the hard part.

Cheap 6v batteries also don't work. Need either the lithium 6v that's pretty cheap or lookup ones have the higher ah rating.
