Some free range chicken maybe?? Buddy of mine said his started laying eggs more while they were out and about.... under bushes and what not.

Bad news, gentlemen. Little Sandwich didn’t make it. Went out this morning to feed the chickens and he was dead in his enclosure.

Sorry to hear brother. Further proof why the survival rate of wild Turkey poults is so low. Hen will lay 4-12 eggs per clutch, once a year.
Only 10 to 40 % of nests successfully hatch, but only about 25 % of hatching poults will make it beyond four weeks. Emaciation, disease, and predation are the main causes of mortality.
