We staying just north of HRGC LINK

They sell crickets by the public launch? If so we keeping the boats in boat stalls and can run bait wells all night.

Yep, Jamie will take care of you but try not to add water. Their water is filtered and keeps them alive all day. I’m going to start using my ice packs again this weekend to keep the water cool.

good idea. Yeah, we always keep the shrimp in tank water until we reach some good salty water. Great idea about the ice packs. I have a bunch of commercial duty vacuum seal bags full of water I usually freeze. Guess I'll pull em out in the morning and stuff em into my Yeti cooler for the ride there from BR.

They sold out of bait by 5:40. Went Spicers, baited up, headed ship channel
Nothing but dinks all the way from west Cove to jetties. Said eff it ran out in 2's in 24' bay boat sw to 7 mile rigs south of Johnson Bayou. Big arse gafstops and lady fish everywhere . We had shrimp, pogies and finger mullet all alive and only ended up with a little over a dozen nice trout. Most came off sliding corks set at depths fish were showing up on the Simrad.
Fished from 6- 5. Wore tf out and back at it again in the am.

Found a couple of fatties on a quick trip this morning. Ship channel, west side fishing cuts before west Cove.
Biggest went 3.5# on the Boga

Thanks for all the suggestions. We had 21 and 1 red. Had to be in by noon. All caught in the ship channel. Couldn’t make it our to the short rigs.
