Last time someone posted this thing, it said it was going to be 16deg with snow in Shreveport...so i run off and tell all my hunting buddies.

It never got below 44 deg and sunny.

Tell your hunting buddies to keep them away from your honey hole

I live along that line of Jefferson and Shelby county. What will actually happen is a bunch of boneheaded educators will freak out, cancel school, mamas will cry about it on facebook, bread and milk will be sold out everywhere in a 9 county radius, people will make fun of the weatherman, people will defend the weatherman, I'll go to work, and guys will go hunting, and it will be 36 degrees with no snow.

Do you need tone in the stand the day before the old front hits, or during the cold front?

Since January of 2014, every time the nasty S word is mentioned, this vicious cycle repeats itself. I give it another year or two before we go back to normal. Then another year until an actual bad snow/ice event happens, and we're back to square one with every school cancelling the next 5 years.

Remember back in January 2017 when the snow/ice storm came through Alabama?

Was that the one the kids waited all day for snow, only to get a flurry for 15 minutes after rush hour? Meaning they all could have gone to school.

Yes it happened in the afternoon. Snow happened north of 20/59 and south was sleet/snow mix

We had barely anything at my house. Out on 280 they got more than a dusting. Of course I probably just jinxed us all and we'll get 5 inches and it will freeze overnight.

If it doesn't snow it should be great hunting. Especially into Saturday with highs in the 40s. Deer should be on their feet feeding.

We got maybe 1-2 inches in around Lake Tuscaloosa. In Hale County, the sleet was trouble.

I'll hunt at the house if this actually happens. Live close enough to Liberty Park to kill some deer.
