Any of you guys have a bell housing for a cj7 laying around? Manuel transmission. bought a CJ a couple weeks ago. Finally got around to crawling under it to check everything out. Theres a hole you could throw a cat through in the bell housing.

No, but I’m jealous. My wife has been forewarned about the impending CJ or Willy’s in the driveway during my midlife crisis in a few years.

And pics mofo!?!

Which engine and trans, they are not all the same if I remember correctly, lots of them in the 80's were chevy pattern bell housings.

Also you can get the hole covered by most welding shops, even though it is cast it will be fine, I broke a few back in the day and had them welded right up and they all stayed together.

Look at the Collins Brothers website. They are in the Dallas area, I bought some parts from them for mine.

If its between the flywheel and the block id just get a plate welded over it. Cast iron can be welded with an oven

where are you located? Searchers in prairieville may have one. Try craigslist, facebook, and or ebay. you never know they do pop up from time to time.

4WD Specialist in West Monroe, La. He has a 4wd wrecking yard and should have one or know where one can be found.

You on any of the CJ pages on Facebook? I’ve bought parts from those pages several times and I see transmissions come up occasionally.

Thanks for replies. Gonna see. about getting welded up or just order a used one. Was just hoping to find one local. It's got the T4 tranny.

Most of them did and that is a chevy bolt pattern on that end, the difference is the other end.

Simple way to know what you have is look at the starter mount, is it mounted Ford style or hang like a GM?

throw out some more info and someone here can help you out
