Another Amite River Boat Crash

ASCENSION PARISH —- At least four people were injured after a crash involving three boats on the Amite River Saturday night, UWK has learned.
It was around 8:20 p.m. on July 18th when multiple agencies, including Ascension & Livingston Sheriff’s Offices and Wildlife & Fisheries responded to the Amite River near Fred’s for the crash.
UWK has learned there was a head-on crash, in which at least four people were injured, including two children. Their injuries ranged from serious to moderate with at least one person Airmed to a hospital. The children were rushed to Children’s Hospital. No updates were readily available into their current conditions or severities of their injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation and it’s unknown currently if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
No further details have been provided at this time.

Wildlife & Fisheries is leading the investigation into the crash and they have not provided any details into the crash, including whether or not alcohol was a factor. Wyatt told UWK he nor his fiancé were drinking. Wildlife & Fisheries has not indicated at this time if any arrests are pending.

Prayers for the Mom as it doesn't sound like she's in good shape at all.
But why in the ever loving name of Jesus would you think it's a good idea to have your family out on the water after dark? With a damn 1 and 2 year old? shite is unbelievable to me.

ETA: Not meaning to blame the victim. The blame is 100% with the alleged drunks. He just put himself and his family in a risky position and was terribly unlucky.
