An NRA publication. Setting aside our various opinions about that organization, the magazine is top notch. This month’s edition is mainly focused on ducks but there was also a very good article about bison hunting. Most months have a variety of hunting topics.
I get it with my membership but it might be possible to subscribe.
FWIW.

Just like phone calls from NRA, I throw it away. I may check it out next issue.

I saw a recent copy at the deer lease earlier this month. Good articles, but to me the best part is that the articles are all together now. No more thumbing forward to part two of the article. For whatever reason that split article shite pisses me off.
Next renewal I am switching to AH from Am. Rifleman.

NRA has had some issues lately but I think all hunters should belong, they’re the main organization fighting the Dem’s assault on the 2nd amendment.Only a minority of hunters belong, they seem to think since they grew up with guns we always have them.
One jerk I went to school with(he’s a Rhode scholar) duck hunts with Browning A5 But he won’t join NRA because he doesn’t believe citizens need “assault rifles”.I pointed out to him that A5s were used in WW1,WW2,Korea and even some in VietNam.
The Dems want all semiautos gone, not just AR15s.Actually they would like to totally disarm the citizenry but semiautos will likely go first.

Biden, himself said last week that he wanted to take 9mm pistols

quote:I get The American Rifleman instead of The American Hunter. The American Rifleman is little more than a mechanism by which the NRA rewards large advertisers by publishing hyped articles and cover photos showcasing the advertiser's latest guns/ammo/holsters/etc. (In fairness, some of the historical articles about WWII or Viet Nam weapons are often interesting).

I don't trust any product review in American Rifleman any more than I trust the oenes published in other gun rags. American Hunter might be different insofar as publishing valuable info (I hope it is).
The only reason I even get the NRA magazine is that I paid for an NRA Life Membership quite a few years ago - so cancelling my membership isn't really feasible.
