Ditto if you think that 50k wont buy big old houses in OK, or if you think that you can't get vets to do a VA home loan for you. It's been done many times. VA just guarantees 80% of your loan. The bank may still demand a down payment, of course. You have much more control over your investment in this manner. Stocks, bonds, all that paper bs, you have no control at all. OK property tax is just 1% per year. Your monthly payment, insurance and tax on 50k is just $500 a month

the migration of ancient man is estimated to have been at the rate of one mile per year, dude. With a group to help you out and to keep the species advancing, even tho many died of incompetence, birth defects, war, diseases, famine, etc. You can't compress that into one season, ferchrissakes, or one person's lifetime, even. So you're completely off of the mark with such "observations"

it's retirement money living GREAT in the third world. That only takes 30k a year, there, and besides, I said that if you win this show by competence, instead of being fat and lucky, you'll have half a million. If you have 30k, you can get set up to clear 30k a year in OK, with the boarding house idea. I did so, anyone can do it. I saved up college loans for 3 years, while living in an old mini-van, on 5k a year. The next house you set up, you can only clear an additional 20k a year, cause you have to pay a tenant to manage your first building.

if you;'re THAT unaware of what rental prices are, just stay in your mom's basement. Of course it's $100 a week. I often post late into the night, waiting to fall asleep. so sue me for your stupidity.

even if they wont let you take the cotton rope hammock or cut up their 20x20 tarp, you can still make a lot of netting from cutting up a bivvy sack, YOUR 12x12 tarp, the rope clews and tree straps from the sheet-type hammock, out of the 40m of paracord (take 9 strand 750 cord, nobody will notice or care) out of the 900 ft of monofilament line in the fishing kit. You might have to settle for a shorter, less wide seine, and only one smaller net weir, but you'll still catch 300+ lbs of fish in 6 weeks. If you also catch a deer or a wolve, several beaver or otter, or a bunch of coons, porcupines, etc, and know to just "hole up" after the fish leave you'll still win.
