I have a 11 FX4 ecoboost and have been very pleased with it. I was a GM guy before.

Two guys I work with have '12 ecoboosts and have had a few problems with them. I have had 0 problems with mine.

I've found some good deals on new 2011s. Would you buy a truck that's been at the dealership that long?

I bought a 2003 F150 in December of 2004 with 24 miles on it for a great price. I still drive it daily. Nothing more than normal maintenance with 150K on it. I plan to drive it another 100K if possible

This is word of mouth so take it for what it's worth. But I do believe that Ford is about to have a class action lawsuit regarding the Ecoboost. It's regarding the less than
Advertised mpg and high number on lemons. I have not had time to confirm this but you may want to check it out.

road trip from Dallas to Shreveport this weekend. running 75 mph and got 19.2 MPG round trip, including some driving time in the city.
Not bad for a 4x4 full size pickup.

Not to mention the get up and go that the turbo provides.

I mean I have the 6.2 in mine. It's advertised as 12 city and 16 hwy (I think). I have never seen my mpg that low so far. Not all Ecoboost are lemons. Some get great mileage and others get terrible mileage. But that's the exact problem, they vary wildly.

I was planning on getting the Ecoboost till I found my truck. I have nothing against it and hope that everyone's gets 25 mpg and last 25 years. The truth is that not all of them are up to par.

What mileage are you getting with your 6.2?

I'm mostly freeway, have the big rear end and average 14.7.

Don't get me wrong, I love it. But it shotguns gasoline.

I would definitely try and make sure that I'm just not lying out my arse before making any decisions. I am currently on my phone but I'll look for information when I get to a computer. And like I said, it's not all Ecoboost, just some. Plus you got warranty.

Or you can go for the 5.0. Almost the same hp just less hp. Should be about 1,000 cheaper too. That gives you some extra cash for the 4x4!

That's gunna be a transition for me. I'm used to getting 24 in my GT. Barry should give me some free gas for all the welfare people I support.

Running 70 I am getting 17. If I keep it around 60-65 I can get 18-19. City I manage 14.

I have a CC with 3.73 rear end and 305/55/20 AT tires.

Far out.

I think we have the same truck.

Which tires did you go with?

Based on the options you want, are you wanting a lariat, platinum, fx, or king ranch?

I have a 10 lariat so I can't speak for the new engines, but I still love my truck
If you go 4x4 you will have better resale appeal in the south

They came off my 2011 Lariat around $12,000 and I got zero percent financing. Still an expensive truck but it is really nice and comfortable.

I got a 11 F-150 4x4 lariat supercrew with the 6.2 L. My gas mileage is not the best but I drive all city most of the time. I get about what it advertises for city. I have gotten 16+ on the highway though.

BFG All Terrains. I was going to go with Mickey Thompson ATZs but I got free shipping with my BFGs.

The 6.2 is hard to find outside of the Harley Davidson and LL models but well worth it. I dont get much for MPG but I knew and expected that.

King ranch had some frills over the lariat that I didn't like paying for

I liked the fx4, but I wanted the cooled seats which are now available on the fx models as of 2012

My next one may be an fx4 Eco once the kinks are out

Honestly that will most probably be my next truck too. I was running into problems finding the Fx4 with Ecoboost, Nav, and max tow. There were none in LA and the dealership manager would not trade for one. I was sorta stuck with that dealership because of my relative that works there got me a great deal.

I know once I wait another year, I'll just convince myself to wait on the next body style

I'd hate to buy a 2013 and have a new one come out in 2014

I'd love to trade up now but that ain't happening
