Outdoor Legacy websigh

I talked to them on the phone as well but they hadn't had much on hands time yet with the 50-640 yet so I was going to call back a little later on. That was right after shot show so it may be time.

You should order one and ill come pass by and take a look

I bought my AGM from them a couple years ago. I had a few questions at setup. He was quick to respond and very helpful.

It’s been a fun toy.

Yep, I bought both my set-ups from them, and had some problems with my external mag dial on my AGM Adder 4x32x50 (384) changing the rifle profile instead of the magnification. So when I went to magnify the image it would change to a different rifle calibration 6.5 Grendel zero— 300 blackout etc… Called Jason, and he said it was a widespread problem and sent the download update to my phone, and that fixed it. Highly recommend calling Outdoor legacy before you buy a night vision or thermal, even if you don’t buy from them; but if you do buy from them, they have really good service, and can call them for anything, and they will troubleshoot all your problems and stand behind the products they sell. You want to know specs behind their products, and side by side comparisons on image quality, battery life, weight, best scopes for AR or bolts, they do all the comparisons for you, and put videos out every Thursday morning on YouTube to see all the latest products and features and their opinions on which optics is best for the intended use. Just fyi..

Well I was waiting for outdoor legacy to get them in but been oos. For weeks I been looking at b&h photo who sells them and is an authorized dealer. They had them in stock and along with free 2 day shipping you get a free agm asp-micro tm160. I know it’s not a great image but could probably be useful for scanning just to see any life so I can then look through the rattler on the rifle or maybe tracking blood Id imagine. Anyway I caved today and got shipping info from b&h about 4pm. At 530 I got a in-stock notification from outdoor legacy…that’s about right hope it doesn’t bite me in the arse later on.

Hell yeah congrats.

Also, thermal won’t pick up blood on ground unless it was just dropped out the animal. Just fyi

Scanners are great for looking for wounded or dead deer in the woods tho.

Yea that’s what I was thinking of I shot something and it ran off I could maybe track with it. I been using my ATN 4K pro in a stand and it would be a bit of a chore to position the rifle to scan to see if anything was around. Figure this would be easy and lite to just see if something is there to warrant picking up the gun with the termal now.

I can’t confirm nor deny how easy it is to scan with a monocular while deer hunting but I’d imagine you could scan 360 around you in 10 seconds and see stuff that would take you an hour to pickup in your binos. I’d check the laws as each state is different.

I did...been meaning to update lol. It looks great...and I am changing gears already. I wound up reading up on the iray Rico MK2 lrf (RH50R) and im going to try that one out. Reason being it has the same 2560x2560 screen resolution that the bolt has and I have always read that is a amazing looking scope/screen but I never wanted the 15" standard scope form factor on a AR. Seems also that while the AGM look great the irays seem to look a little better and that screen should make a viewing difference. Not happy about the weight but the Rattler weight was without batteries and mount where as the iray is with batteries. So the rattler was not 19oz but more like 25oz. The free hand held that came with the rattler was garbage so I am sending it all back and will look through the iray. I figure if I cant stand the heft I know I can sell the iray with ease and go back to the rattler. Waiting for the iray to be in stock its still pretty new but highly anticipated from what I gather.

You seen anything on that unit?

Just got in the RH50R and its got an amazing picture on that screen! Better than the rattler just looking around the office. Heavy but worth it, I cant wait to mess around with it at night and with luck lay some pigs down end of the month.

I have a lower end ratter and it has been great. My buddies pulsar is triple the price and larger and much better but it just depends on what you are looking for. The highest end rattler probably competes. This v2 is very interesting.

Keeping in mind the v2 I had for a few days was my first thermal and it looked great, however, the detail this iray has is way better than the v2 was. Cant wait for it to get dark

Out of the box settings. The rh50r is easily better looking. A good bit heavier but I’m glad I made the switch.

The rattler

The rh50r in black, red, and white hot.
