I'm humbling myself and asking the Outdoor Board for advice.

I've been fixing up a 2002 Buick Lesabre Custom I inherited from my dad. Everything has gone smoothly until now. I had to replace the blower motor, and realized there was lots of water in the passenger floorboard.

I assume the drain is clogged, and if I don't clear it, it might short the new blower motor out, as well as causing mold issues and etc. I spent the first half of the day looking for the drain elbow/nipple/outlet and can't find anything remotely resembling it under the car or on the firewall. I've looked at diagrams online, and it doesn't exist where the diagrams show it.

Am I totally missing something, or am I going to have to disassemble the housing under the dash to find it from the inside?

I figured this was a far better option than posting on the OT, both for accuracy and sanity. Thanks in advance.

You know it may not be the evap drain. The water may be coming from around the bottom of the windshield. Dry it very well and spray water on the windshield on that side or go through a drive through.

Youre talking about the radiator drain correct? I would just pull the hose off or something. Alot of them are plastic now anyway and you might risk breaking it off. They usually get stuck after so long

I'm talking about the air conditioning evap drain.

Tried hosing it down thoroughly. No obvious windshield leak.

Sounds like your passenger spilt his malt liquor.

Try some of the Buick forums...I just googled 2001 Buick LeSabre A/C evaporator drain...and there was a couple posts on a Buick forum. The one I read said there was a drain that comes out of the firewall plus a 90 degree rubber bend..and that's the drain. I could get clogged...a YouTube video shows a guy blowing out the drain in his with compressed air..and it drains quick...be careful...you're likely to get wet.

Thanks NASA. I saw the same thing, but what was in the video wasn't there. I saved the best for last, and came to pick the brains of the people here.

I'll probably end up paying someone to do what ends up being a five-minute job. Lol

Any chance the 90° elbow broke/fell off? Can you see everything down there?

It's a 90 degree elbow so it might be tucked up under some wiring or other hoses. With a FWD it is hard to access that area. maybe a good ac shop? Maybe pull back the carpet up under the evap housing? Maybe you can see it from the inside there to give you a better idea where to look under the car.

Hammertime, it was a bear, but I was able to see/touch all of it and couldn't find it.

Cajun, I'll give that a shot. If I can't get to it, I'm just going to pay someone and skip the headache.

Thanks for all the replies!
