That's what I'm thinking as well. W/ a good size chop out there it's easy to think the jetty ends well before it actually does.

Regardless of whether or not that jetty caused this accident, it defies all logic that the CG will sit right there in that pass and write you a ticket for some BS thing you're missing and pass it off as "life saving", when a couple dozen $100 buoys could've saved countless accidents, lower units, and several lives. Just mark the jetty already. Every time I come through there at night or in the fog I'm sweatin bullets.

And while they're at it, a couple of channel markers in Caminada Pass would be nice as well. There's a CG station 7 miles from there.

No, what happens is that the water that is around you heats up in your cloths. As you move, fresh cold water enters around you, cooling you down faster.
