BIL just bought one & we sighted it in yesterday. Will be deadly at 200 yards. Run out of beer before we could shoot it at 300

I went to Acadamey yesterday and all they had was an H&R. I want the CVA Scout.

It's got plenty of power.

The round itself shares the same case with a 30-06. The only difference is it shoots a 9mm sized bullet (.355-.357 caliber). So, you get the same power of a 30-06, but the round is heavier and flying slightly slower. It's a very effective round.

You have to call Acadedmy in advance or just get lucky. They only get 5 at a time, every two weeks I believe and they go fast. I got the CVA Elite Stalker this week for $259, which seems like a good deal for an all around deer rifle. A friend of mine told me not to be afraid to shoot it to 200, (he killed one last year at 235). Thanks for the feedback, I look forward to shooting it this weekend.

Out of all my rifles, it stands alone. Great round. Cannot say enough good things about it.

I did see that one when I went there.
It didn't come with the scope mount, at least the one I look at.

$259.00 for the gun
$40.00 dollars for the scope mount.
plus taxes
$330.00

For 20 more you get the SS barrel with the scope mount.

Awesome caliber. You will love it. I have the encore version. It's the only rifle I hunt with now. I'm shooting 200 gr hornady leverevolutions and they destroy. Comfortable out to 300 yards with it
