300 AAC Blackout Upper

Looking to purchase a 300 blackout upper with an 8.5" threaded barrel. Does anyone have any advice on what to get?

I'm not trying to go cheap because I'm spending the money on thermal but don't want to spend unnecessary money.

A good buddy of mine got this one 
He paid for it, though.
I think $1,900 maybe?
Don't know your spending range. IMO that's way to much for a gun.

If it were my money, I would buy a Noveske billet upper, Noveske barrel, SLR Solo lite Rail, Silencerco Muzzle Brake, SLR gas block, and a cryptic BCG in mystic black. The dustcover and forward assist wouldn't really matter to me.

Black rain Ord Stripped upper $129

Upper parts kit $17

Just need a castle nut and Pistol length gas tube and low profile gas block and you're good to go. Should cost more than $100 to have it put together.
For about $750-$850 you can have a really good upper.

Hey Carson - Just curious, is it Black Rain in general that you think is horrid or just that particular rifle?

That particular rifle. I just think that finish is ugly, the rail is silly, and the gaudy 300 BLK on the dust cover. 1900 is a lot for that gun, black rain is fine though

I'd start with a Noveske barrel. Whatever else is just your preference

Excluding optic I paid about 1200 for my 300 piecing it together and that was in the aftermath of sandy hook. Just shop around and you can definitely put one together under 1k
