2 fishable weekend's? We didn't even have that last year in 42 days. There were about half a dozen fishable days. Do we know start date?

It's not even worth it unless you can load up 8 people on the boat. I'm not a huge fan of snapper fishing anyway. I'd rather stay inshore and murder the specks.

I agree or they will try hard to do it. That or start charging more/tax to do it.

What are they using to determine this, every year they talk about how impacted the snapper are and every year we go out it's easier and easier to catch more fish and bigger fish. Those that fish for them on the regular and especially those that dive know that the numbers are starting to border on out of control in the gulf at the rigs. They are getting so abundant that they are decimating the trigger fish population.

They don't count the fish on artificial structure. That's one of the major problems.

I guess the snapper adjusting to the artificial reefs and thriving on them doesn't seem to be an important factor to them. The feds are ridiculous. Every year this is getting worse and worse. It's really awesome for the anglers who've spent 200+ thousand dollars on boats to enjoy this sport to have it stripped from them and make their boats value turn to pennies on the dollar.
