Just interested in seeing what everyone's set up with rifle, scope, ammo and experiences with different things are. Tips, fun things to try, ect would be appreciated. I'm not going to strap myself with a budget because I'm just trying to gain knowledge about it. Ideally, I'd like to have whatever is considered "decent" groups at 50 to 100 yard distances with another rifle of course
nothing wrong with the rifle you are shooting right now. If anything, I would consider a trigger upgrade (Kidd or Tandemcross) and try different ammo to see what it likes. Eley Match, SK standard & match, Wolf match target has shot really well in both of my rifles and is my go to. Try them out, your rifle will get better as you do. When you get time, come check out rimfirecentral, lots of solid info on all things 22

CZ 457 Varmint MTR would be my suggestion. It is one of the finest shooting rifles I have owned. I have won over fifty matches at 200yds with it.
Worth every penny.
How close are you located to Gulf Shores?
Whoa disregard that,,,,,you live in Baldwin. Come up to Styx River Shooting Center and I can show you everything about the CZ, Vudoo and some of the other custom 22's we are shooting. Come shoot a match with us. I will let you use one of mine. Match is free and it is all for fun and bragging rights.

BX trigger is more than good enough. When you get time order a 50 round box of each ammo I suggested, you will know pretty quickly which one it likes. Once you find what it likes, get used to shooting at small stuff (thumb tacks and staples directly into the cardboard, no need for paper here) before you increase distance..

Also, you will need to really be able to clean the barrel.
Get this. It's the best at removing lead from the barrel.

One selling point was that it uses Ruger 10/22 mags. When using Ruger 10/22 mags the gun has feeding issues, it does run with the Christensen mag.
The rifles aren’t as accurate as other production rimfires, i.e. CZ and Bergara.
The action has a very cheap feel. It’s almost funny how thin the bolt handle is.
It is kind of a fitting rifle for the Christensen brand. Looks good but doesn’t perform.

My son was shooting a Marlin 880 SQ and I was shooting a CZ-452. Both were good - the Marlin was heavy and the CZ was not.

Here are some groups from my range trip today. This is my CZ 457 MTR that is completly stock. The 6 groups on the left are SK Standard+ and the 6 groups on the right are Lepua Center-X. Some of them are 10 shots and the rest are all 5 shots.
ETA: that pic is illegitible
I definitely get a cold bore shift with this rifle. But after that it settles in a puts down some pretty good groups.
The best group of the day was with Center-X as expected.

Got a stock 10/22.
Hogue stock, fluted barrel from green mountain rifles, sent trigger assembly off. Can't recall the name but they set it at 1.5lbs, recommendations from a poster here.
Great little gun.
I still want to get an CZ or Anschutz.
