Going get it from Loewer tomorrow since they're dog shite and I'll bring it to GR Honda in Natchez since that's where I bought it. In hindsight, I should've done that from the start but I figured it would be an easy fix and the local dealer would get it resolved. Boy was I wrong.

Went get it from Loewer today and brought it to Great River in Natchez.
The first thing the sales manager told me when I mentioned Loewer had it six weeks and couldn't figure anything out was "We love Loewer. They give us a lot of business." He also was shocked they kept it that long and made no progress. Showed him videos of what it's doing and he saw it for himself when he tested it. He said I should hear from them by Friday.

The loewer folks are downright criminals with what they charge. I wouldn’t let them air up my tires if I had a flat in their parking lot.
Their old service manager is part owner in Natchitoches. I’d drive past loewer to take it somewhere else, and that guy is good. I’m sure great river will get you fixed up, but if not, call natchitoches.

Finally got the bike back from Great River. The problem ended up being the crank bearing (factory defect). They found 1/32" slack, which caused the misalignment and explained why the bike would shift fine if you rocked it or tapped the throttle. Mine was the fifth case that was reported for the 2025 Rubicon Deluxe.

wow, thanks for update.
How was Great River experience? considering making the drive over to buy a bike from them.

You got lucky.
The misaligned bearing typically causes motor failure
For those wanting a more reliable bike, either get the foot shift IRS honda... Or get the kodiak 700. I would go so far as to argue that the kodiak 700 is now in the running for most reliable bikes ever made.

I recommend them.

Another bad experience with Loewer. Brought my son's dirt bike there to get a rear flat fixed cause I didn't have time to mess with it. Cost $198 to replace a tube in the tire and then they never called to let me know it was ready. I finally stopped by to check on it and they were like..."oh it has been ready". I said well thanks for calling and letting me know and then they get an attitude about it. I have no plans to use them again.

Yes....I believe that was her name. She worked at the service desk back in the shop where you drop off for repairs.

quote:Oh yeah that's her. I let her have it one day on the phone, then told her to transfer me to the service manager. He was nicer but I let him know how lousy his service desk is. I'm sure I'm the 950th person to tell him that.

Maybe that bearing is wearing out on my 2015 DCT. I got mine new from Great River Honda in 2016. It has been well used and borderline abused. I had my first problem two years ago when I went too quickly down a steep drop and the transmission shifted between gears and got stuck. It would not shift. I was stranded until I solved a riddle my buddy told me on how to find the damn emergency nut to manually shift the thing back to neutral. So here is the PSA:
There is a weird looking wrench tool in the kit on these bikes. It fits a nut/bolt head on the front of the motor near where the front drive shaft comes out of the motor. Turning this nut allows you to shift the transmission into whatever position you need it in. It isn't very big and you can't look at it and get the wrench on it at the same time if you have your plastics on. It is much easier to find if you remove the plastics. The pic below shows the location:
I changed my oil after that incident, and it didn't happen again that year. Last year I had zero issues. A couple months ago it did it again so I changed my oil. I am taking it to the shop if it happens another time.

Well it was nice for a week while it worked but it's back to shift failure.
At this point I'm ready to formally request buyback/replacement or take legal action. I'm tired of this.
