I got 300 lbs (a good bit more than average per the butcher)
Estimated to be 900-1100 by the guide. He was a big mature bull. Dry ice and ice chests. 12 hr drive for me.

We will be doing a two week combo hunt (bow only for both). Flying into deer lake. Helicopter from deer lake to outfitter. What's your email?

Amazing. That'd be the trip of a lifetime for me. What an experience

And riding a mule into the outback, which we do also is literally a pain in the arse. They are not the most comfortable means of travel, but I'd rather ride a mule in those mountains than a horse. Years ago while riding deep into the NF in CO, we came across a couple other guys on the trail riding mules also. We stopped and talked about our mules. One guy said, "I'll never ever ride a horse in these mountains again." He points at a big scar on his forehead and cheek. "Damn horse damn near killed me. He got spooked at something and ran off a cliff with me on his back. I'm lucky to be alive."
Supposedly, mules have enough sense not to hurt themselves, unlike horses. I've had to get off of mine and walk him through a creek because he didn't like the look of it. Stubborn sonsabitches.
