Yeah. It was the standard workhorse in the Super Duty's also. But, alas, a gas guzzler. Ford is getting ahead of the curve for what is coming down the pike because Mr Obama wants 54 mpg fleet CAFE. This includes 1/2 ton trucks but not 3/4 and up. AT least they will be powerful and efficient, just not cheap.

I like how it seems crazy that their pricing is lower than you thought. The cheapest available engine is far far far more inferior than what Ford offers now. They are saying that the little V6 with no ecoboost or that 2.7 liter is still going to be more expensive than 5.0 liter models for 2014. Wait until you see prices for the engines that are worth getting, probably be the first 60k half ton pick up from factory.
